POST-ADOPTION LEARNING CENTER (PAL Center, Inc)
PC1 - The first year home: What to expect and how to respond Back to Homepage

If you are considering international adoption, or are awaiting your child, this course will prepare you, not scare you. You will learn to see the world through the eyes of your child. You will learn valuable parenting strategies to use immediately, during the first year home, and in years to follow. Will you learn anything new if you have read my book, Parenting Your Internationally Adopted Child, or if your child has been home for over a year? Absolutely--in fact, I intentionally expanded on the book. The course has additional examples, new strategies and more stories. I added lots of information about children who are adopted at an older age. Everything is in down-to-earth language. I hope you will join me ---or let me join you in your life's adventure!
Patty Cogen, Ed.D
